Xibo is GREAT! Looking forward for next stable version. I also want to suggest another COOL feature, which shouldn't be too hard to implement: embedding Google Documents (spreadsheets, text, presentations).

God bless,
Ghita

Hi Alex,

Just a short question. Do you have plans to add preview functionality ?

Some times the layout is not working properly and it is very dificult to debug the problem.

1.3 series will never be "stable". The next stable release containing the features from the 1.3 series will be 1.4.0 and it will be released when it's ready and sufficient people have tested the 1.3 development previews.

Have a look at our blog post on the subject for more info: http://xibo.org.uk/2010/03/12/confusion-about-development-preview-releases/

There are quite a lot of new features in the client. The main difference is the switch to Berkelium and libavg 1.6.0. That gives us better stability, a newer browser rendering engine and also support for some new things like on-GPU effects. The client now actually has support for doing things like adding drop shadows automatically, spinning and rotating animations etc. Eventually support for this will be added to the server so you can take advantage of it.

There's also the new customer counter and some improvements in the RSS code.

Hi Frederic

It's on the roadmap:
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/xibo/+spec/background-audio

It's not scheduled to be developed until the 1.7 series of Xibo.
